Ark Mines (ASX:AHK) is set to continue the development of its Northern Territory gold assets, with the start of definition drilling at the Frances Creek project.
The campaign to include 23 holes up to 60 metres deep and will target gold to be processed at a plant only 17 kilometres away.
Ark executed a binding toll treatment deal with Newmarket Gold (TSX:CRK) earlier this month for the Mount Porter project, which holds 34,000 ounces of gold resources close to Frances Creek.
The upcoming drilling its expected to extend the 2.4 kilometre strike at Frances Creek by some 300 metres.
The company has spent more than A$200,000 on the project to day and a further $200,000 is planned to be spent on exploration and a mining lease application.
