Ark Mines (ASX: AHK) plans to carry out drilling at its Frances Creek and Mount Porter gold projects in the Northern Territory in the upcoming months.
This includes four diamond holes – two in each of the northwest and southeast target zones – at Mount Porter and infill reverse circulation drilling at Frances Creek.
The Mount Porter diamond core will be assayed for gold grades as well as metallurgical testing with a view to improving grade, tonnes and recovery.
Meanwhile, the infill drilling at Frances Creek will target the oxide zone less than 20 metres from surface.
Studies are also underway on historical data and geological information at Golden Slips and Golden Honcho prospects where excellent gold grades had been previously identified.
Average surface grades of 17.6 grams per tonne gold over 420 metres have been recorded at Golden Honcho while Golden Slips has returned 18.2g/t gold over 180 metres.
Ark had previously said that two toll treatment options for Frances Creek were already under consideration.
