Alligator Energy (ASX: AGE) has commenced a 5,000 metre diamond drilling program at its Tin Camp Creek uranium project in the Alligator Rivers Uranium Province in the Northern Territory.
Drilling is targeting the Caramal and South Horn uranium mineralisation that were previously identified, and testing the Two Rocks geophysical anomaly.
Interpretation of the recently completed geophysical survey is assisting in the targeting of drilling in this province which hosts the Ranger, Jabiluka, Koongara and Nabarlek uranium deposits.
The company is planning to drill about 30 holes at Caramal for 3,000 metres in the next three months.
This drilling will initially target known mineralisation defined in the 1970’s to provide greater confidence on uranium grades and on the structural controls of mineralisation and then step out to extend zones of mineralisation down dip and along strike.
Alligator also plans to conduct a 1,500 metre drill program in the South Horn region and a 500 metre program at Two Rocks. Drilling is planned to continue until late October.
Alligator was admitted to the ASX in February after a successful IPO offering 75 million shares at $0.20 to raise up to $15 million.
