Alara Resources considers options for Washihi copper-gold projects in Oman

Alara Resources (ASX: AUQ) is progressing a scoping study over its Washihi copper-gold projects in Oman, with several new development options coming to light.

Since commencing the upgraded Scoping Study and reviewing further project options, Alara has identified additional development paths including gravity separation, heap leaching, and toll milling at a nearby mineral processing plant.

These options have the potential to improve Washihi project economics, which contains the largest JORC copper resource in Oman.

Alara previously reported the intention to divest all or part of its Oman assets in order to ensure sufficient working capital to focus on its flagship Khnaiguiyah zinc-copper mine project in Saudi Arabia.

Discussions with a number of interested parties are continuing with two offers received currently under consideration by management.
