Alara Resources finds more zinc and copper at Khnaiguiyah Project

Alara Resources (ASX: AUQ) has found new mineralisation beyond the zinc and copper JORC resources reported at the Khnaiguiyah Zinc-Copper Project in Saudi Arabia.

That resources is 26.4 million tonnes at 3.9% zinc and 0.12% copper (4.3% Zinc Equivalent); and 7.0 million tonnes at 0.8% copper for the project previously announced.

The new drilling results cover a total of 25 holes, comprising 17 holes from Zone 1 and 8 holes from Zone 2.

These holes were drilled outside the previously announced JORC Resource area and show potential for expansion of the Project’s JORC Resource from both Zones 1 and 2.

New drilling has brought best results of:

- 9.0 metres at 7.7% zinc and 0.3% copper (Hole K1DD12_255)

- 9.6 metres at 7.1% zinc and 0.1% copper (Hole K1DD12_258)

The drilling results appear to show mineralisation at shallower depth within Zones 1 and 2.

They would also encourage the Company about the potential feasibility and scale of the Khnaiguiyah Zinc-Copper Project.
