Proactive news highlights: Anglo Pacific, Bushveld, Challenger, Haydale and Metal Tiger.

OptiBiotix reports strong progress, Bushveld confirms closing of a share placing and Challenger Acquisitions has had a court case against it has been dismissed.

Anglo Pacific Group plc (LON:APF) said it expects its mining royalty income this year to be “significantly higher” than it was in 2015, driven by the performance of the Kestrel coal operation in Australia.

In other news, Zamano Plc (LON:ZMNO) revealed an 80.2% rise in first half revenues which helped offset the bottom line impacts of a programme of new investment.

Sales amounted to €18.748mln for the six months to June 30, compared to €10.40mln for the same period of 2015. Gross profit was down 9.7% to €2.33mln, while at €1.196mln adjusted earnings lowered by 13% compared to the first half of 2015.

Elsewhere, the half-year report from OptiBiotix Health plc (LON:OPTI) highlighted the strong progress the human microbiome specialist has made.

In the six months to the end of May, the company saw its intellectual property portfolio rise to comprise 44 patents across 14 product families, eight strain registrations and seven trademarks.

Over at Haydale Graphene Industries PLC (LON:HAYD) it has made what it said is a crucial step in its Asian expansion with the acquisition of Thailand–based ink and composites group Innophene.

Ray Gibbs, Haydale’s chief executive, said the deal was a strategic move to ensure it had rapid response and application engineering support in the Far East.

Over at Bushveld Minerals Limited (LON:BMN), it has confirmed the closing of a £580,000 share placing.

The group told investors the injection of funds will be used for general working capital, as well as supporting continuing costs related to its Vametco transaction.

Meanwhile, there has been a run on bunting this week, with royalty officially opening Hayward Tyler Group PLC’s (LON:HAYT) new facility yesterday.

The specialist engineering group’s “fit for nuclear" facility in Luton, which recently underwent a multi-million pound refurbishment to support the group’s long-term growth plans, was officially opened by the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge.

Next, It has been a good week for Challenger Acquisitions Limited (LON:CHAL), which announced on Thursday a court case against it has been dismissed.

The giant observation wheel specialist said the complaint brought by Madison Capital Markets, which was demanding compensation for alleged services for advising and facilitating the company's acquisition of Starneth Group and investment in the New York wheel project, had been turfed out by the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York.

Over at Kibo Mining PLC (LON:KIBO) it has redrawn its agreement with Chinese partner SEPCO for the construction of the power plant at the Mbeya coal/electricity project in Tanzania.

In return for the right to be the sole bidder, SEPCO will refund Kibo 50% of the development costs incurred starting with US$1.8mln by end August.

And finally, Metal Tiger PLC’s (LON:MTR) Logrosán gold and tungsten joint venture has applied to increase the acreage it controls around Extremadura in Spain.

The venture company has applied for the San Cristóbal Sur licence immediately to the south and adjoining the current Zorita and San Cristóbal exploration licence areas.
