PayPal launches P2P payments for small merchants in India

PayPal.Me targets freelancers and small merchants who have international clients

PayPal Holdings Inc. (NASDAQ:PYPL) launched a peer-to-peer digital payment service in India which aims to serve independent freelancers and other types of small businesses, the company announced on Wednesday.

PayPal.Me will help those users to conduct international payments, speeding up transactions by no longer requiring manual payment requests or non-essential bank account information.

PayPal’s share price was down 0.90% at $37.52.
