NexGen Energy Ltd (CVE:NXE) hailed drill results from multiple holes at the new area 180m southwest of its Arrow deposit on the Rook 1 property in the Athabasca basin, Saskatchewan, which have hit significant high grade uranium.
Today's results are from ten holes from the recently completed winter 2016 drilling program, all of which contained mineralisation.
Chief executive of NexGen Leigh Curyer said: "These results confirm the significant expansion potential of Arrow at the 180 m southwest area.
"The focus of drilling at Arrow continues to target the 180m area, expansion and infill drilling.
"In parallel, Harpoon and regional drilling of geophysical targets along trend from Arrow are the focus for the summer program."
Harpoon is a new high-grade discovery 4.7km north-east of the Arrow deposit.
Highlights included hole AR-16-90c3 hitting 13 m at 8.09% uranium, including 10 m at 10.33%.
A further interval showed 5m at 14.35% uranium.
The Arrow Deposit currently covers an area of 870m by 280m and remains open in most directions and at depth.
The summer program, which consists of 35,000 m of drilling is continuing with seven drill rigs active, NexGen added.
