Salesforce.com, Inc. (NYSE:CRM) announced on Monday that it was acquiring BeyondCore, a business analytics solution provider.
The deal marks the tenth acquisition for Salesforce in a year. The company is adding new skills to its team and a bigger value proposition for customers. “The company’s core product should enhance the data discovery and AI capabilities of the new Salesforce Analytics Cloud,” said BTIG analyst Joel P. Fishbein, Jr.
The analyst contrasted the acquisition with Salesforce’s recent acquisition of Quip, which appeared to be primarily a way to take on the company’s skills and expertise.
That said, Salesforce will bring on BeyondCore CEO Arjit Sengupta and his team as part of this new deal.
The analyst is maintaining a buy rating on Salesforce.com, with a price target of $100.
