Hedge fund manager David Tepper increased his stake in the drugmaker Allergan (NYSE:AGN) and orchestrated a new bet on Quorum Health (NYSE:QHC).
The investor increased his Allergan stake by 981,700 shares to a total of 1.2 million shares during the second quarter.
Tepper's quarterly Securities and Exchange Commission filing also showed a new bet on Quorum Health and a 61% cut in his holdings in hospital operator HCA (NYSE:HCA).
Allergan shares closed up 1.8% at $4.44 on Monday. Quorom shares closed up 15.3% at $5.89.
