Magnolia Petroleum PLC (LON:MAGP) has raised £250,000 through a share placing to support its portfolio of assets in Oklahoma.
The oil and gas junior told investors the proceeds would fund current drilling commitments on its acreage which hosts proven hydrocarbon formations, such as the Woodford and Mississippi Lime.
In other news, Mobile devices services supplier zamano PLC (LON:ZMNO) is looking at bolt-on acquisitions, as it seeks to reposition the business into higher value-added, growth-orientated activities.
The company revealed that an independent strategic review of the business had resulted in a recommendation that the group should focus on acquiring businesses in the mobile advertising, social and billing areas.
Next, biomass boiler group Aggregated Micro Power Holdings plc (LON:AMPH) is raising £5mln via a placing and subscription to fund its June acquisitions of two woodchip supply firms.
The fundraise consists of a placing to raise £1.535mln at 66.5 pence and the issue of £3.47mln of convertible loan notes (CLN) in the firm.
Elsewhere, ReNeuron Group Plc (LON:RENE) said the results from a clinical trial using its CTX stems to treat patients after stroke will be published in the prestigious medical journal, The Lancet.
The PISCES I study showed the therapy improved neurological and limb function for 11 people, which was maintained for two years.
Over at ServicePower Technologies Plc (LON:SVR), it highlighted a positive end to the first half as it told investors trading was in-line with management expectations.

While the resource sector has declines in the last two months, the group still has around £4million in working capital.
