Europa Oil & Gas (Holdings) Plc (LON:EOG) has extended the first exploration phase for some of its key licences off Ireland’s west coast.
Phase one of Frontier Exploration Licences 2/13 and 3/13 has been extended by a year, and now ends on July 4 2017.
In other news, OptiBiotix Health plc (LON:OPTI) has appointed a director of business development with a strong scientific background.
The company, which is focused on altering the function of the human biome to tackle obesity, cholesterol, diabetes and skin conditions, said Luis Gosalbez will join the senior management team.
Elsewhere, currency and payments firm FairFX Group Plc (LON:FFX) has struck a partnership with airline group Monarch, which it says will help holidaymakers get better value.
The company is currently flying high and this comes just days after FairFx announced a two-year tie -up with Premier League champions Leicester City.
Under the latest deal, Monarch will promote FairFX international transfers, cards and travel cash.
Over at African Potash PLC (LON:AFPO), the fertiliser trading firm said it signed a deal with a distributor in Zambia.
The 12 month tie-up with Rockwell Fertilisers follows less than a month after it inked an agreement with Nutri-Aid Trust, a Zambian non-profit organisation.
Meanwhile, North Sea operator Ithaca Energy Inc (LON:IAE) has strengthened its hand in the Greater Stella Area, its key growth project.
New deals see the group take more of the resources in the vicinity of the Stella field, which the group is currently working to bring into production.
Over at video games services supplier Keywords Studios (LON:KWS), it will beat market forecasts when it reports interim results next month.
Recently acquired localisation and audio business Synthesis has been the driver, though its ‘excellent’ first half was in part due to a beneficial phasing of revenues between the first and second half.
Next, shares in hydrogen fuel cell specialist Proton Power Systems Plc (LON:PPS) leapt 80% as it unveiled a business overhaul and predicted sales this year would jump by 250%.
The cleantech group also unveiled a boardroom shake-up. Thomas Meltzer, business development director, has left the company with immediate effect while finance director Achim Loecher will become a non-executive director.
Defenx plc (LON:DFX) has announced a deal worth €2.34mln to acquire a majority stake in cloud-backup business Memopal. The AIM quoted technology group, which specialises in security software for mobile devices, is acquiring a 95.2% stake in Memopal by paying up to €1.78mln and taking on €0.56mln of loans.
Elsewhere, Vast Resources PLC (LON:VAST) told investors it had repaid the£325,000 principal plus interest accrued thereon, due to Darwin Capital Limited. It was due on July 31 and was 50% of the Darwin bridge loan announced earlier this year. The facility was for up to £1mln.
And finally, drilling at Metal Tiger PLC’s (LON:MTR) T3 target at its copper venture in Botswana continues to return high grades.
