European Wealth unveils director changes

Director Kenneth 'Buzz' West has been hired as non-exec chairman and chief operating officer Simon Ray becomes an executive director.

The group unveiled a series of director changes

Wealth management firm European Wealth Group Ltd (LON:EWG) unveiled director changes, including that executive chairman John Morton is to become chief executive.

Director Kenneth 'Buzz' West has been hired as non-exec chairman.

Meanwhile, chief operating officer Simon Ray  has been appointed to the board as an executive director.

He joined European Wealth as part of the acquisition of Aventus in 2011.

Morton, now group chief executive, said: "We are delighted to appoint Buzz to Non-Executive Chairman. He has been a valuable member of the Board and we look forward to continuing to draw upon his experience as European Wealth grows.

"I am also delighted that Simon has agreed to join the board. In his capacity as Chief Operating Officer he has been instrumental in supporting the development of European Wealth as an established wealth management business."
