New York bourse owner to sell US voice brokerage ops to Tullett Prebon

Intercontinental Exchange, owner of the New York Stock Exchange, said on Friday it has entered into an agreement to sell certain US voice brokerage operations of Creditex to Tullett Prebon, one of the world’s leading interdealer brokers

Intercontinental Exchange (NYSE:ICE), owner of the New York Stock Exchange, said on Friday it has entered into an agreement to sell certain US voice brokerage operations of Creditex to Tullett Prebon (LON:TLPR), one of the world’s leading interdealer brokers.

ICE will retain the electronically traded markets and systems, post-trade connectivity platforms and intellectual property of Creditex, which serves the global Credit Default Swaps market. The terms of the transaction were not disclosed and the transaction is subject to FINRA approval.

Intercon shares were down 0.2% at $264.72 just ahead of the Friday market close in New York.
