Ebiquity finance chief steps down

Chief financial and operating officer Andrew Beach has stepped down.

Marketing analytics specialist Ebiquity plc (LON:EBQ) announced that chief financial and operating officer Andrew Beach has stepped down.

Beach has resigned from the board to take over as chief financial officer at industry conference organiser ITE Group plc (LON:ITE).

He joined the group in 2007 and has served as CFO since 2008, taking responsibility for operations and IT in 2014.

The group said it had begun the search his successor.

"On behalf of the board I would like to thank Andrew for his contribution to Ebiquity over the last 9 years. Andrew has been a key member of the executive team that has led the transformation of the business during this time. His unstinting diligence and professionalism are the hallmark of a high quality CFO and we wish him every success for the future,” said chairman Michael Higgins.

Ebiquity also announced today that it had contributed to advertising guidelines for achieving media transparency in the marketing sector.

In partnership with the Association of National Advertisers, Ebiquity has released a set of recommendations aimed at helping marketers and advertisers improve internal governance and achieve greater oversight and control over advertising budgets.

“The guidelines form part of the "Media Transparency: Prescriptions, Principles, and Processes for Marketers" report which followed the June release of an ANA-commissioned assessment by K2 Intelligence which found non-transparent business practices, including cash rebates to media agencies, were pervasive in a sample of the US media ad-buying ecosystem.”

Shares rose 2.3% to 105p.
