KEFI Minerals re-jigs board as it prepares for production

The changes reflect the company's transition from exploration-only to emerging production as well as exploration, it said.

KEFI Minerals (LON:KEFI) has shuffled its board as it negotiates over finance to build its Tulu Kupi gold project in Ethiopia.

Mining and corporate finance veteran Mark Wellesley-Wood is to join as a non-executive director and head up a new technical review committee.

From 2017, he will also become deputy chairman and senior independent director with Ian Plimmer, the current deputy chairman, to run a newly formed exploration committee.

Exploration director Jeff Rayner is to step down from the board and take on a more free-ranging role, while John Leach has agreed to join the senior executive team as Finance Director.

Executive management will continue to report to executive chairman Harry Anagnostaras-Adams.

Adams said: "The planned changes to the Board of Directors announced today reflect our transition from exploration-only to emerging production as well as exploration.“
