Risers & Fallers: Aminex, Asa Resource, Advanced Onco, Barratt Devs, IndigoVision, NTOG

It has been a good day for the house builders ahead of a trading update next week from Barratt Developments

Below are some of the main news-driven share price changes on Friday.

RISERS

Asa Resource Group PLC (LON:ASA), up 13%. By ‘eck, Asa’s shareholders are easily excited: the shares are up sharply on news that the company is set to release its full-year results on 19 July.

Advanced Oncotherapy PLC (LON:AVO), up 12%. The developer of next-generation proton therapy systems for cancer treatment said non-executive director Michael Bradfield yesterday purchased 10,000 shares at 112p a pop, taking his stake up to 8.88%/

Barratt Developments PLC (LON:BDEV), up 6.8%. It has been a good day for the house builders. Barratt was up almost 7% ahead of its trading update next week.

FALLERS

Nostra Terra Oil and Gas Company (LON:NTOG), down 7.1%. The company assured the market that the sale of its 20% stake in the Chisholm Trail prospect is still progressing in line with expectations.

IndigoVision Group plc (LON:IND), down 5.7%. Half-year sales dipped 3% from a year earlier while gross margin remained “broadly in line” with last year.

Aminex plc (LON:AEX), down 5.6%. Shares dipped to 1.28p as the company announced plans to raise up to £19.5mln through the issue of shares at 1.3p.

RISERS

SolGold plc (LON:SOLG), up 26%. The company is set to receive up to US$20mln in investment from Maxit Capital, via a private placing to continue exploration at its Cascabel property in Ecuador.

Byotrol PLC (LON:BYOT), up 20%. The anti-microbial technology company has announced a further and expanded agreement to develop and commercialise long-lasting biocidal products for hard surfaces with the international chemical group Solvay SA .

Bovis Homes (LON:BVS), up 11%. The shares continue to rise after yesterday’s trading update.

FALLERS

Bluebird Merchant Ventures Limited (LON:BMV), down 33%. The Philippine-focused commodity trading and natural resources development company revealed that the Philippine government has recently ordered an audit of all operating mines in the Philippines to ensure that the highest environmental standards are being applied.

Ilika PLC (LON:IKA), down 15%. The materials development group reported a loss for the year of £3.5mln, up from the £2.7mln at the end of last year.

Coal of Africa Limited (LON:CZA), down 5.4%. Universal Coal, for which the company has launched a bid, has yet to commence mining activities at NCC. First coal was expected to be produced in the first half of 2016.

RISERS

Savannah Petroleum PLC (LON:SAVP), up 33%. The stock is back from suspension with the company having received strong support for its fund-raising.

1PM PLC (LON:OPM), up 11%. Shares in small and medium sized business lender 1PM were lifted by a trading update that revealed strong growth in revenue and profits.

Kibo Mining PLC (LON:KIBO), up 6.8%. The Tanzania-focused company’s definitive feasibility study for its Mbeya coal mine saw a number of key elements upgraded from the pre-feasibility study.

LOSERS

Pantheon Resources PLC (LON:PANR), down 3.1%. The oil and gas exploration company with a 50% working interest in several projects in Tyler and Polk Counties, onshore East Texas, said permission had been granted to perform the fracture stimulation test on the VOS#1 well.

Caledonia Investments PLC (LON:CLDN), down 0.4%. The self-managed investment trust company saw net asset value edge up in the second quarter to £1,645mln from £1,644mln.

Shire (LON:SHP), down 0.4%. The European Commission has granted extension of market authorisation for Revestive (teduglutide) 5 mg powder and solvent for solution for injection for the treatment of patients aged one year and above with Short Bowel Syndrome.
