Ryanair Holdings PLC (LON:RYA) boosted passenger numbers by 11% last month despite air traffic control (ATC) strikes.
The budget carrier said traffic increased to 10.6mln customers from 9.5mln beforehand on a one percentage point rise in its load factor - how full its aircraft were - to 94%.
Ryanair said it achieved the record monthly numbers and load factors at lower fares and despite repeated disruption caused by unacceptable French ATC strikes.
"We are again calling on the European Commission to urgently take action to reduce the impact of these ATC strikes on Europe’s citizens and the single market," the airline said.
Ryanair did not mention the EU referendum in its statement, but the airline was vocal in urging British voters to choose to Remain before the plebiscite, which resulted in a Leave vote.
Chief executive Michael O'Leary responded by saying Ryanair would not make any investment in the UK for at least two years.
