Tissue Regenix Group (LON:TRX) continues to forge ahead - as it unveiled a three year contract with a national US group purchasing organisation (GPO) for the use of its wound care product DermaPure.
The medtech firm's products involve removing cellular material from animal and human tissue leaving a 'scaffold' which can then be used to repair diseased or wounded body parts
A GPO negotiates contracts and pricing with a network to serve members, which include regional alliances, hospitals and individual physician offices.
Today's deal spans 43 states, with a membership comprised of more than 800 acute care hospitals, 186 different Health Systems and more than 1000 long-term care facilities.
Tissue's president Greg Bila said: 'This first GPO agreement marks another significant milestone for DermaPure, allowing a multitude of care settings and physicians to access the product.
"The results and clinical support that we have seen, to date, has been outstanding and we are pleased to be able to convert this into further market penetration and availability."
In 2012 Tissue Regenix set up Tissue Regenix Wound Care Inc, as part of its commercialisation strategy for its dCELL technology.
