Goldstone Resources plc (LON:GRL), in which gold miner Stratex pls (LON:STI) has a 33% stake, and is largest shareholder, unveiled board changes.
Emma Priestley, currently the interim chief executive of Goldstone, has been hired as exceutive director and chief executive.
Andrew Bell has been named as a non-executive director with immediate effect.
Goldstone chairman, Christopher Hall said today: "We are very pleased that Emma and Andrew are joining the Goldstone Board and look forward to their input in helping to drive the company forward as we seek to advance the company's assets."
Priestley specialises in Africa and emerging market sectors and is currently a director of Stratex as business development and market liaison, in conjunction with which she is an adviser with African Resource Capital focused on investments on the African Continent.
Since 2004, Bell has served as Executive Chairman of Regency Mines Plc (LON: RGM), an since 2005 as Chairman and CEO of Red Rock Resources Plc (LON: RRR) and since 2006 as Chairman of Greatland Gold plc (LON: GGP).
Earlier this month, Stratex agreed to increase its loan to Goldstone (LON:GRL) from US$100,000 to US$350,000.
The money is for general working capital as it continues to progress its portfolio of West African gold projects, and to provide settlement to former chief executive Jurie Wessels who has announced he is to step down as part of an "amicable separation".
