Proactive news round-up: Metals Tiger, Providence Resources, Mirada...

A round-up of today's Proactive newswire stories...

Metal Tiger PLC’s (LON:MTR) partner is to bring a fourth deep drilling rig on site at its Botswana Copper Belt prospect to explore ‘a burgeoning’ number of high grade targets.

MOD Resources (ASX:MOD), the partner, is currently carrying out the exploration and after analysing latest samples said the length of the previously identified soil anomaly at the T3 prospect had risen by 4km to 12km.

Providence Resources PLC (LON:PVR) is raising up to US$76.6mln through a share placing and open offer that will secure the Irish oil firm’s financial future and allow it to drill in the increasingly high profile Atlantic margin. A US$68.4mln share placing sees Providence issuing new shares to institutional and other investors at a price of 12p.

The full commercial roll-out of digital TV services provider Mirada Plc’s (LON:MIRA) Iris multi-screen solution for Mexican telecoms giant izzi Telecom is kicking off. The roll-out will be accompanied by an extensive marketing campaign by izzi Telecom and subscribers will be able to take the new services via izzi’s distribution channels from 4 July.

SolGold plc's (LON:SOLG) has started to explore the Moran prospect at Alpala in Ecuador, where sampling has shown an outcropping and visually copper mineralised porphyry system around 1.2 km north of the Alpala North West centre.

There, the group has also identified, via 3D magnetic modelling, an anomaly at 350 metres depth, and SolGold is now targeting this along with extensions northwards and surface mineralisation as prospective for 1,000Mt (metric tonnes) of resource in addition to the Alpala deposit.

Wealth management firm European Wealth Group Ltd (LON:EWG) saw funds under management rise to £1.2bn by the end of 2015 from £1.0bn a year earlier. Over the same period, the FTSE All Share index fell by 2.49%.

Range Resources (LON:RRL) has reiterated its production forecast of 2,500 barrels per day from onshore Trinidad by end 2017. Permission to drill the MD 51-2 development well has now been granted, which is part of a progamme to add 500 barrels per day this year.

Copper and gold explorer Metminco Limited (LON:MNC) has completed the purchase of Minera Seafield, owner of the Quinchia licence in Colombia, from RMB Australia. Metminco has issued 350mln shares to RMB and paid it A$165,000 for expenses incurred since talks on the deal got underway.

Richland Resources Ltd (LON:RLD) has expanded the resource estimate and significantly improved the understanding of its Capricorn Sapphire mine in Queensland, Australia. It follows 12 months’ “focused work” by gemstones specialist Andrew Cunningham that has provided “a detailed mine plan with a far greater understanding of the geology and mineralisation of the deposit”.
