Ariana Resources plc (LON:AAU) has discovered another potential gold vein system close to its planned mine at Kiziltepe in Turkey.
The new system is at the edge of the waste-rock dump site at Kiziltepe with rock-chip grades of 5.27g/t and 4.87g/t gold and 21.5g/t and 8.0g/t of silver.
A drill programme will follow in July and August, Ariana said.
Kerim Sener, managing director, said the new vein was discovered by earth moving for the waste rock dump and alongside the recent discovery at Arzu Central will be tested in the next drilling programme.
He added the operating licence for the Karakavak prospect 10km to the northeast of Kiziltepe had also been renewed until 2020 enabling it to drill there for the first time.
First gold from the Kiziltepe mine is expected late this year.
