Below are some of the main news-driven share price changes at 4.00pm.

RISERS

Sopheon PLC (LON:SPE), up 24%. Full year revenue visibility for 2016 from contracted business and recurring revenue streams is now approaching $17m, compared to $12.5m at this time last year, the software company told shareholders at today’s AGM.

Alexander Mining PLC (LON:AXM), up 21%. The company has been granted a patent for a “Method of Oxidative Leaching of Molybdenum - Rhenium Sulfide Ores and/or Concentrates in Chile, patent number 52208”.

Ascent Resources PLC (LON:AST), up 19 at 0.78p. Henderson Global Investors has taken a pile of shares off Ascent’s hands at 0.6p a pop, generating £500,000 (net) for the oil and gas explorer.

FALLERS

Provexis PLC (LON:PXS), down 9.1%. The food ingredient maker said it is in late stage discussions with a small group of investors regarding a potential share subscription.

Aureus Mining Inc (LON:AUE), down 7.4%. The West African gold producer has made significant progress towards the recommencement of gold processing operations at the New Liberty Mine, but the shares dipped as it said it is in talks to secure additional funding.

Boxhill Technologies PLC (LON:BOX), down 6.9% at 0.14p. More funding news … the company issued 400mln new shares to retire £1.6mln of unsecured convertible loan stock.

RISERS

AEC Education PLC (LON:AEC), up 75%. The company has agreed with certain shareholders that loans from them amounting in aggregate to £853,951 shall be converted into ordinary shares at an assumed price of 5p per share. The shares currently trade at around 3.2p.

Volex PLC (LON:VLX), up 21%. The power and data cabling group recorded its first statutory profit before tax in three years following a significant reduction in non-recurring fees.

European Metals Holdings Limited (LON:EMH), up 17%. The speciality lithium exploration and development company with assets in the Czech Republic revealed Armco Barriers and the Keller Super Fund together own 10.5% of the company’s issued share capital.

FALLERS

Artemis VCT PLC (LON:AAM), down 9.3%. The shares dipped to 63.5p as the company revealed net asset value per share stood at 72.69p at last night’s close.

Papua Mining PLC (LON:PML), down 9.1%. The management said it was encouraged by the anomalous copper values showing in the assays of the latest drill samples, but the market was more sceptical.

Trans-Siberian Gold PLC (LON:TSG), down 8.6%. Another mining getting it in the neck this afternoon, despite sowing an increase in profit before tax in 2015 at US$6.6mln, compared to a 2014 profit of US$1.3mln.

RISERS

British Polythene Industries PLC (LON:BPI), up 32%. RPC Group has swooped in with an agreed offer comprising 470p in cash plus 0.60141 RPC shares for each British Poly (BPI) share. Based on last night’s closing price for RPC, the deal values each BPI share at 940p.

CloudTag Inc (LON:CTAG), up 28%. Wearables group CloudTag (LON:CTAG) has started to roll-out its wrist-based health and fitness monitors through a raft of major online and retail outlets.

Webis Holdings PLC (LON:WEB), up 18%. Pooled betting specialist Webis said the company’s contract to operate Cal Expo Harness Racing, the Californian harness racing track based in Sacramento through to 2021

FALLERS

Essentra PLC (LON:ESNT), down 27%. Shares fell on a profit warning. The components provider said market conditions for its Filter Products had deteriorated.

China New Energy Ltd (LON:CNEL), down 18%. The engineering and technology solutions provider to the bioenergy sector has raised £750,000 through a share subscription at 2p a share. The shares fell to 2.23p.

Immunodiagnostic Systems Holdings PLC (LON:IDH), down 9.4%. The specialist solution provider to the clinical laboratory diagnostic market said one of its major healthcare customers has switched to an alternative testing kit. The switch will hit the company’s royalty revenues.
