Deltex Medical Group plc (LON:DEMG) told investors it has signed up two new accounts in the United States for its oesophageal Doppler monitoring (ODM) systems.
A major hospital in San Francisco’s Bay Area, which marks the sixth account on the West coast, has placed an order for 50 probes, and is contracted to take 30 probes per month going forward.
The other new account is for a group of hospitals in the North East of America. These hospitals are working collaboratively to introduce enhanced recovery protocols in bowel surgery with a view to spreading into other types of surgery in due course, Deltex highlighted.
Currently, Deltex’s products are present in two of the participating hospitals, one of which is a large teaching hospital.
The new accounts represent the sixth and seventh sign-ups in 2016 to date, and they take the overall tally to 24.
"Adoption rates in the USA, our key territory for development, continue to outperform our other areas of focus,” said Ewan Phillips, Deltex Medical's chief executive.
“Additional platform accounts contribute to recurring sales growth in the USA, where probe revenues in the five months to the end of May are over 50% ahead of the corresponding period in 2015.”
Phillips added: "We look forward to adding further accounts to our platform account network and meeting our key milestone of 30 platform accounts in the US in the coming months."
