BATM completes network upgrade for Tier 1 Asian telco

The contract was a follow on from an earlier network modernisation upgrade to 4G/LTE.

BATM Advanced Communications Limited (LON:BVC) subsidiary Telco Systems has completed a 10 Gigabit Ethernet (GE) installation for a major telecoms group in south-east Asia.

The contract was a follow on from an earlier network modernisation upgrade to 4G/LTE services.

At network capacity of 10GE, the telecoms group can support more broadband traffic and offer higher quality services, BATM said.

The customer chose Telco because it wanted compliance with the ethernet carrier standards, BATM added.

Zvi Marom, BATM’s chief executive said: “10GE is quickly becoming a requirement for service providers around the world to meet the broadband demands of new services and customer usage.”
