Proactive news highlights: Deltex Medical, e-Therapeutics, Motif Bio, Sula Iron and more...

Deltex Medical Group has hailed the “superb results”, Tissue Regenix beefs up its board and MySQUAR updates on the success of its first game.

e-Therapeutics plc (LON:ETX) has received wholly unconditional acceptance for its £2.3mln offer to acquire internet search engine technology Searchbolt Ltd.

e-Therapeutics said it has secured 93.5% acceptances for the offer, making it unconditional having passed the 90% threshold.

In other news, OTT investment company Falcon Acquisitions (LON:FAL) has appointed Richard Baker as non-executive director, following the resignation of Mark Gustafson, who stepped down to focus on other public company interests.

Baker has had a distinguished career spanning over 20 years in the digital media, telecommunications and financial services industries.

Over at Motif Bio Plc (LON:MTFB), CEO Graham Lumsden has been invited to present at the BIO 2016 convention in San Francisco.

The presentation will provide information on the progress of its clinical lead antibiotic, iclaprim, into pivotal phase III trials.

Elsewhere, Oesophageal Doppler monitoring (ODM) specialist Deltex Medical Group plc (LON:DEMG) has hailed the “superb results” from a Spanish study of its ODM devices.

The trial’s results included a 72% reduction in the total number of complications during surgery from 198 to 56; a 45% reduction in the number of patients suffering one or more complications on the operating table; and a two-day reduction in the median length of stay.

Meanwhile, regenerative medical technology specialist Tissue Regenix Group PLC (LON:TRX) has beefed up its board with the appointment of Professor Shervanthi Homer-Vanniasinkam.

The professor, a respected consultant vascular surgeon, joins as a non-executive director.

Over at Myanmar-focused social media developer MySQUAR Ltd (LON:MYSQ), shares headed north as it updated on the success of its first game 'Destroyer King', which has been launched on its social app MyCHAT.

The game was officially launched on May 5 and had almost 65,000 users as at May 29 and is expected to acquire up to 100,000 in the next 30 days.

Sula Iron & Gold PLC’s (LON:SULA) potential resource at Ferensola in Sierra Leone may be greater than thought, initial results from an electrical survey have indicated.

An Induced Polarisation (IP) survey confirmed gold mineralisation within areas previously sampled by Sula and will provide new drilling targets for the explorer.

And finaly, Pan African Resources plc (LON:PAF) bid to acquire Jadeite’s 33.6% interest in Shanduka Gold for has been accepted.

The South African gold miner concluded a bookbuild in which shareholders and new institutional investors acquired around 112mln new shares pursuant to a vendor placing, to raise the R545.6mln (£23.9mln) bid offer.
