Galantas Gold Corp (LON:GAL,CVE:GAL) said its previously announced private placing has been oversubscribed.
The Northern Ireland focused gold mine developer said over 18.6mln shares are expected to be issued, at C$0.07875 each for a maximum of around C$1.466mln.
Earlier this month, it said it would raise C$1.26mln by placing around 16mln shares.
Roland Phelps, president and chief executive officer of Galantas Gold, intends to take shares in the company at the same assumed price in lieu of repayment of a debt he made to the company.
In all, Phelps will exchange debt accruing to him, as of March 31 this year of up to C$935,852 for up to 11.8mln shares.
Net proceeds are intended to be used for working capital purposes, to finance the legal commitments over underground planning consent, finance work on conditions precedent and to progress exploration activities.
