Alliance Pharma on track with Sinclair integration

Alliance Pharma plc (LON:APH) has seen a solid start to the year with the acquisition of Sinclair Pharma's healthcare business integrating well, it told shareholders at its annual meeting.

"The year has started well. The Alliance business and the recently acquired Sinclair Healthcare Products business together generated revenues of £30.5 mln for the first four months of 2016, which is in line with the board's expectations,” said chairman Andrew Smith.

"Kelo-Cote, our scar reduction product from the Sinclair portfolio, is now our largest-selling brand,” he added.

Kelo-Cote notched up sales of £3mln in the first four months of 2016 were in line with forecast.

Eczema treatment cream Hydromol, the beat seller from the original portfolio, saw sales rise by 7% over the same period.

Sales in the UK consumer healthcare business rose by 20% to £2.9 mln with Ashton and Parsons and Macushield both doing well.

“We are in the process of integrating the Sinclair products under the Alliance name and of aligning the operational capabilities of the enlarged company; both projects are progressing to plan,” said Smith.

Alliance acquired Sinclair Pharma’s healthcare products arm for £132mln in December.
