NexGen Energy Ltd (CVE:NXE) has reported off-the-scale uranium indication from drilling at its Arrow prospect in the Athabasca Basin, Saskatchewan.
Eight drill holes intersected extensive mineralization, and radioactivity in each of the A1, A2, A3 and A4 shears.
High grade minerals already identified had been confirmed and expanded with two further drill holes, said the company.
Hole AR-16-84c3, for example, was drilled 33m down-dip and southwest of -84c1 and intersected 35.5m of total composite mineralization, including 2.6 m of total composite off-scale mineralization.
This new area of high grade mineralization in the A1 shear was not part of the maiden Arrow deposit resource, said NexGen.
Drilling in the A2 shear also has potential to expand the high grades already reported, while Hole AR-16-86c1 returned the largest total composite mineralization to date across the A2 to A4 shears.
Last month, chief executive Leigh Curyer described the winter program at Arrow as incredibly successful.
“Just as with past programs, Arrow keeps surprising,” he said.
At that time he added that Arrow had a considerable amount of drilling undergo before fully understanding its ultimate size.
