Sunrise subsidiary staking claims in Nevada

Many of Nevada's largest gold mines, which include some of the largest gold mines in the world, are based on Carlin-style deposits, the firm noted

Sunrise Resources Plc (LON:SRES) revealed it is compiling historical data having staked claims on two potentially exciting gold projects in Nevada after it incorporating its new subsidiary Westgold Inc.

The idea is to generate gold and silver opportunities, which can be leased out, sold or joint ventured to capitalise on the high level of interest.

Firstly, the Clayton silver-gold site, last explored in the 19802, is an epithermal gold project in the Walker Lane Mineral Belt. It lies 30km southwest of the major historic mining centre of Goldfield where a number of large gold-silver deposits are currently under development.

Meanwhile, the Newark gold project is targeting sediment hosted "Carlin-style" gold mineralisation. It lies in the south end of the famous Battle Mountain-Eureka gold trend at its intersection with the Alligator Ridge gold trend.

Many of Nevada's largest gold mines, which include some of the largest gold mines in the world, are based on Carlin-style deposits, the firm noted.

Sunrise shares ease 7.14% on the day to stand at 0.13p.
