Food manufacturer Real Good Food PLC (LON:RGD) has launched a state of the art Development Centre and Academy in Liverpool.
The group said the centre will serve as an international hub for food manufacturing innovation and cake decoration skills training.
Real Good Food, which owns a number of well-known names, recently underwent reorganised into three divisions: cake decoration, food ingredients and premium bakery.
The academy will allow the group to tap into the growing cake decoration market and support a growing global demand, said executive chairman Pieter Totte.
The centre is fitted with world-class teaching aids, equipment and technology, with the ability to live-stream classes around the world. The first courses will begin in July.
The company has a long association with Liverpool and its Renshaw factory has been a major employer in the city for many years.
Elaine Bowker, Principal of academy partner Liverpool City College said the centre “will serve as a global hub for food technologists and scientists, bakers and other creatives working in the food industry.”
