Scancell Holdings Plc (LON:SCLP), the cancer vaccine specialist, up 9.02% to 16.625p as it signalled its plans to expand in the US by opening new offices in San Diego.
Goals Soccer Centres PLC (LON:GOAL), up over 8% to 105p on City whispers that Mike Ashley could h be looking to beef up his Sports Direct International PLC empire with the firm.
Sports Direct has been cranking up its stake in Goals, increasing it above 5% on March 23 and above 6% on April 14, having bought a 4.9% holding last year.
FALLERS
DX (Group) PLC (LON:DX.) fell over 15% to 19p as the parcel courier failed to get planning approval for a new West Midlands distribution hub. It said it may appeal.
Asian Citrus Holdings Limited (LON:ACHL) dropped 10.53% to 4.25p after it said frost had hit its Hunan plantation in China.
Petro Matad PLC (LON:MATD), down 13.6% to 2.70p on no news, and as its recent share upswing continues to tail off.

Retailer Booker Group PLC (LON:BOK) added 6.85% to 176.2p after HSBC rates shares a 'buy'. It has a price target of 230p.
Patisserie Holdings PLC (LON:CAKE), up over 4% to 354p as the market cheered the latest half year numbers, which saw an increase in revenue and profits.
Curtains and bed seller Dunelm Group (LON:DNLM), up 2.29% to 939.5p. It comes after it emerged this week chief Andy Harrison and former head at Whitbread, had bought almost £0.5mln worth of shares in the company.
FALLERS
Burberry Group PLC (LON:BRBY), down 5.25% to 1,083p. The biggest loser on Footsie after it reported lower annual profits, sales and revenue.
Midatech Pharma Plc, dropped 12.65% to 148.5p as it gave a wide-ranging update on its clinical pipeline.
Strategic Minerals PLC (LON:SML) shed 9.41% to 0.39p as it revealed drilling had now started at the Hanns Camp nickel/copper sulphide prospect in Australia. The shares have tripled in the last month on potential excitement.

Golden Saint Resources Ltd (LON:GSR) up 17% to 0.076p. Alluvial diamond miner has raised half a million pounds in a placing move forward its bulk sampling operations in Sierra Leone. Biggest shareholder Millennium Vista Ltd took part in the cash call and now owns almost 17% of the capital.
Capital Drilling Ltd (LON:CAPD) up 10% to 35.1p. "Recent increases in the gold price along with increased capital markets activity in the mining sector give the group an encouraging outlook," it said. "The early signs of recovery in the sector, albeit measured, together with the award of new exploration contracts, reinforce Capital's position for revenue and earnings growth during the balance of 2016 and beyond.”
Panmure Gordon &Co PLC (LON:PMR) up 9% to 63p. Stockbroker says 2016 has started positively. Since January, 20 transactions completed including three IPOs and a range of secondary placings and strategic/M&A transactions,
FALLERS
Concha PLC (LON:CHA) down 8% to 0.55p. Andrew Black has elected to convert 25mln warrants into 25mln ordinary shares at an exercise price of 0.35p. Proceeds of £87,500 will be generated for Concha. Black held 100mln shares prior to the conversion.
DX (Group) PLC (LON:DX.) down 10% to 20.3p. Logistics group has had planning application turned down for proposed new central hub in the West Midlands. An appeal is now being considered.
Marshalls PLC (LON:MSLH) down 8% to 314.4p. Marshalls' UK revenue for the 4 months ended to April was up 1% at £120mln and reflects a slight softening in commercial sales over the last 2 months. Construction Products Association has also lowered its forecast for growth in UK market volumes to 3% in 2016 and 3.6% in 2017.
