Sunrise Resources bids farewell to long-serving non-executive director

Frank Johnstone has served on the board since 2005. He will be replaced by investment banker Roger Murphy

Sunrise Resources Plc (LON:SRES), the diversified mineral exploration and development company, said non-executive director Francis Johnstone is to retire.

His position on the board has been taken by Roger Murphy, currently the managing director of investment banking at Dundee Securities Europe.

Johnstone served the company as a non-executive director from 2005 and provided the company “many years of wise counsel”.

“I would like to add my thanks to Francis on his retirement from the board for his many years of service to the company,” said Patrick Cheetham, executive chairman of Sunrise.

“In welcoming Roger to the Board I am confident that his extensive experience in mining finance will prove to be a valuable asset for the company."
