Allergy Therapeutics plc (LON:AGY) described as “very encouraging” the results from the latest clinical study of its PQBirch204 treatment for hay fever caused by birch pollen.
The phase II trial assessed the response from 371 patients, which revealed a statistically significant dose-response relationship from the groups receiving the medication.
In other news, wind turbine sensor specialist Windar Photonics PLC (LON:WPHO) unveiled financing deals worth up to €2.7mln to capitalise on the traction it is receiving for its WindEYE LiDAR technology.
The tech firm said it had brought in €1.2mln (£1mln) via a share subscription at 110 pence each and agreed what's called a factoring facility with Nordea Bank Denmark A/S - the largest financial services group in the Nordic and Baltic region.
Over at Bushveld Minerals Limited (LON:BMN) it finalised terms for the acquisition of the Vametco vanadium mine in South Africa announced three weeks ago.
The miner will pay vendor Evraz US$17.2mln in two tranches for a 78.8% stake in Strategic Minerals, the owner of the mine and the processing plant.
Meanwhile, natural resources investment company Metal Tiger PLC (LON:MTR) said a new copper target area has been identified in Prachinburi province, Thailand.
Metal Tiger said its 90%-owned subsidiary, Southeast Asia Exploration and Mining (SEAM), made the discovery as part of its exploration programme in the area.
Also in mining, Range Resources Ltd (LON:RRL) has announced a new arrangement with the Trinidad authorities which will see lower royalty payments on oil sales.
The revised overriding royalty rates (ORRs) will apply to whilst the oil price is below US$50 per barrel. It covers the production coming from the group’s Morne Diablo, Beach Marcelle and South Quarry fields.
Over at Regency Mines Plc (LON:RGM) it revealed plans to expand its oil and gas business, via a partnership with a privately owned American oil firm.
The AIM-quoted natural resources group said it wants to acquire a 75% non-operated working interest in an oil well in Wyoming, via an auction process under a Chapter 7 bankruptcy proceeding.
Experienced biotech and pharma executive David Lawrence has been appointed to the board of Redx Pharma Plc (LON:REDX) as a non-exec director, the drug discovery firm said.
He succeeds Derek Lindsay, who stepped down from the board to become chief operating officer.
And finally, Forbidden Technologies plc (LON:FBT) has raised £1.3mln from a placing that it flagged on Friday.
The issue price of 7p is a discount of around 50% before that announcement, though the price fell back sharply subsequently.
Mark Gustafson, chief executive of Challenger Acquisitions Ltd (LON:CHAL), has been steadily increasing his stake in the giant observation wheel specialist. In all, he bought 110,000 shares, taking his stake in the company up to 710,000 shares, representing 4.8% of the issued share capital.
