Pharma & Biotech

Risers & Fallers, including Centamin, Strategic Minerals and Interserve

No new news from Strategic Minerals today but that did not stop it from shooting up another 50%.

Some significant risers and fallers at around 3.35pm..

RISERS

Botswana Diamonds (LON:BOD), up 15.58% to 2.23p as it pleased the market with news it will begin drilling on one of its licenses in the Gope region.

Imagination Technologies (LON:IMG), up 11.75% to 168.75p as bid action may be a step closer after Chinese firm Tsinghua Holdings took a 3% in the graphics chip designer.

Tsinghua is a US$30bn Chinese state-owned fund that has been buying western technology companies.

Highlands Natural Resources (LON:HNR), up 16.22% to 43p as it continues its upward momentum having practically quadrupled since late April. On April 22 this year the stock stood at 11.88p.

FALLERS

Glencore (LON;GLEN) down 8.52% to 133.20p as reports said the trading giant was now the top shareholder of embattled Australian iron ore miner Atlas Iron, and that it’s the group's only direct exposure to production of the steelmaking ingredient.

BMR Group PLC ( LON:BMR) down 13.16% to 4.13p on no news and after only last Friday, saying it had received approval for its environmental and social impact assessment at the Kabwe tailings project in Zambia.

Tullow Oil (LON;TLW), down 4.65% to 233.80p despite an upgrade from BMO Capital Markets, moving the stock to ‘outperform’ from ‘market perform’ and a heftykick to the target of 110p to 310p

RISERS

Windar Photonics (LON:WPHO) up 4.35% to 120p as the wind turbine sensor group reported financing deals worth up to €2.7mln to capitalise on the traction it is receiving for its WindEYE LiDAR technology.

Christie Group plc (LON:CTG), up 3.96% to 105p as one of the business service group's sUBSidiaries advised on a big nursery sale.

Greggs (LON:GRG), the baker, added 3.65% to 1,107p as the pie and bap chain said it had made a good start to the year with total sales up 5.9% in the first 18 weeks of 2016.

FALLERS

Restaurant Group (LON:RTN), down 2.75% to 275.40p as Swiss broker UBS downgraded the shares to 'neutral' from 'buy.

Gold miner Centamin (LON:CEY) down 5.84% to stand at 114.40p as US broker Citi downgraded the shares to 'sell' from 'neutral' on valuation grounds.

Infrastructure group Interserve (LON:IRV) fell 5.71% to 310.50p as the firm got a downgrade from German bank Berenberg, which saw it cut the target price cut to 520p from 645p.

RISERS

Strategic Minerals PLC (LON:SML), up 51%. Shares have been like a runaway train since it announced the drilling plan last month for Hanns Camp, and they continued to race ahead this morning after the company revealed on Friday it had received the permit of work for the mine.

Iofina plc (LON:IOF), up 16%. The company made an operating profit (EBITDA) of US$492,000 in 2015 on revenue if US$20.3mln.

Bango plc (LON:BGO), up 16%. The mobile payments specialist has acquired US carrier billing service BilltoMobile for an initial consideration of £2.5mln,

FALLERS

Opera Investments Plc (LON:OPRA), down 29%. Shares have returned from suspension sharply lower after the proposed acquisition of SoloPower fell through.

China Africa Resources PLC (LON:CAF), down 20%. The pre-revenue company made a loss before tax of US$562,000 in 2015, versus a loss of US$833,000 the year before. It ended 2015 with around US$700,000 in cash.

First Quantum Minerals Limited (LON:FQM, TSE:FM), down 13%. The company, which is delisting from Aim at the end of this month, saw its shares tumble on the day that the results of the AGM voting were announced. All nominees were voted in by comfortable majorities.
