Major share price risers and fallers in London at 4pm

Below are some of the main news-driven share price changes at 4pm

RISERS

Tejoori Ltd (LON:TJI) up 26% to 0.19p. Company agrees to dispose of one of the three Arjan plots of land for a cash consideration of approximately US$6.5mln.

Conroy Gold and Natural Resources PLC (LON:CGNR) up 27% to 25.4p. Metal Tiger Plc (LON:MTR) has invested £125,000 in Irish exploration group at 18.5p each. It also receives warrants to acquire more shares at 37p each over a 30 month period. The share subscription gives Metal Tiger a 6.1% stake in Conroy.

APC Technology Group PLC (LON:APC) up 8% to 9.55p. Year to date bookings of £9.7mln to end April in component division have continued the strong performance reported in November and March.

FALLERS

Randgold Resources PLC (LON:RRS) down 11% to 5,885p. FTSE 100 gold miner reports profits up but production down in the first quarter of 2016.

Westminster Group PLC (LON:WSG) down 6% to 10.20p. A 70-seater fast ferry, purchased by the company recently, will leave for Sierra Leone this week. It will be the group’s second ferry - to be named Sierra Princess - and it is expected to begin operations soon after sea trials.

London Stock Exchange PLC (LON:LSE) down 4.4% to 2,571p. Atlanta headquartered Intercontinental Exchange (ICE), which owns NYSE, said on Wednesday it was not considering making an offer for LSE. It now paves the way for the potential £21bn merger of LSE and the German Deutsche Börse AG to go ahead.

RISERS

Sportech plc (LON:SPO), up 20%. Well, it is not quite the same as winning the football pools, but the supplier of pool and tote betting services has won its appeal in respect of a £97mln VAT repayment claim for its 'Spot the Ball' game.

Avingtrans PLC (LON:AVG), up 15%. The company is to sell its aerospace division for £65mln, though it will only receive £52mln of that after adjusting for debt.

Avon Rubber PLC (LON:AVON), up 14%. The half-year report from the diversified design and engineering group revealed earnings per share rose 29% from a year earlier.

LOSERS

Xtract Resources PLC (LON:XTR), down 12%. The miner found the market hard to please after it said it is mining ore at record levels from its Chepica gold mine in Chile now that it has opened up three more levels. Losses for the quarter were US$18,400 compared to a profit of US$208,000, while revenues dropped 38% to US$231,000.

Kibo Mining PLC (LON:KIBO), down 11%. The company s moving towards financial close at its thermal coal project at Mbeya in Tanzania after receipt of the definitive feasibility study for the power station, which CEO Louis Coetzee said confirmed the robust fundamentals of the project.

Snoozebox Holdings PLC (LON:ZZZ), down 9.5%. In the words of Monty Python, this one has been “up and down like the Assyrian empire” in the last week or so, and today it was on the downturn after it was revealed Cartesian Capital Partners had exited the stock, selling 15.17mln shares.

RISERS

Proxama PLC (LON:PROX) up 32% to 1.19p. Proximity marketing campaign has started on 500 London buses. Responses so far have been very good, marketer said in a statement.

Coal of Africa Ltd (LON:CZA) up 27% to 3.31p. Company has reached agreement with Rio Tinto and Kwezi Mining over the schedule for remainder of deferred consideration for the Soutpansberg coal assets.

Forbidden Technologies plc (LON:FBT) up 13% to 8.75p. Company has started a 12-month proof of concept study for its video-editing tool Forscene with a major UK broadcaster. Described by its chief executive as potentially its most significant deal yet, Forbidden is collaborating with an unnamed US editing software specialist on the study.

FALLERS

Arian Silver PLC (LON:AGQ) down 11% to 1p. Company is progressing to the next stage on the possible acquisition of TNM’s Noche Buena gold and silver tailings project, located in northern Zacatecas State of Mexico. Several other mining properties in Mexico are also being explored.

BHP Billiton PLC (LON:BLT) down 7% to 811p. An independent Brazilian prosecutor announced he was pursuing BHP and partner Vale for 155BnReal (US$43bn) for compensation and reparations on behalf of the public for the Samarco dam disaster.

J Sainsbury PLC (LON:SBRY) down 5% to 272p. Supermarket’s profits fall and chief executive Mike Coupe warns that market is a challenge and unlikely to get any easier soon.
