DP Poland maintains strong sales momentum

Like-for-like sales rose by 23% in the three months to March

Domino’s Pizza franchise holder DP Poland Plc (LON:DPP) has notched up a fourteenth consecutive quarter of double digit like-for-like sales growth.

Like-for-like system sales rose by 23% in the three months to March from 26 stores open in 6 Polish cities by mid-April

A further three 3 stores are under construction and a pipeline of openings planned for the second half of 2016.

Peter Shaw, chief executive, said: "The first quarter of 2016 has opened strongly with like-for-like system sales up 23% on Q1 2015.

“While the existing store estate is performing well the sales performance of our latest store openings outside of Warsaw is particularly encouraging.”

DP Poland has the Domino’s franchise in Poland and outlets in Warsaw, Krakow, Wrocław, Gdansk, Szczecin and Zielona Gora. Of these, 17 are corporately managed and 9 sub-franchised.

Shares rose 4% to 27p.
