It was positive stuff, not least as the group has revealed plans to sell off the China business.
Sales at KFC, Pizza Hut, and Taco Bell restaurants increased in China by 6%.
On the back of the strong performance, the firm has raised its forecast for core business operating profit growth to 12% for the year from 10% previously.
