House builder Persimmon slides after griping about planning delays in an otherwise upbeat trading update

Below are some of the main news-driven share price changes at 4.00pm.

RISERS

Premaitha Health PLC (LON:NIPT), up 11%. Wealth management firm Hargreave Hale has lifted its stake from less than 5% to 8%.

Scapa Group PLC (LON:SCPA), up 9.5%. The supplier of bonding materials said full-year trading profits and margins are both ahead of last year and market expectations.

Atalaya Mining PLC (LON:ATYM), up 8.6%. The company said its Proyecto Riotinto will return to maximum production significantly ahead of schedule and well under budget.

FALLERS

Alecto Minerals PLC (LON:ALO), down 14%. The shares fell to 0.119p after it issued 38.75mln new shares as result of warrants being exercised at 0.08p.

KEFI Minerals PLC (LON:KEFI), down 6.8%. A strange reaction to the company's decision to dispense with paper-based communications in favour of electronic communications in future.

Persimmon PLC (LON:PSN), down 5.6%. The trading update was generally upbeat but contained a gripe about planning delays.

RISERS

Entertainment One Ltd (LON:ETO), up 16%. The shares are up because of press speculation about a potential offer, but the company said it has not received a bid approach.

Renold plc (LON:RNO), up 14%. The supplier of industrial chains and related power transmission products said full-year sales are expected to be around 1% better than previously indicated, while adjusted operating profit will be ahead of market expectations.

TyraTech, Inc. (LON:TYR), up 11%. Non-executive director has bought 250,000 shares in the parasite control products company at 4p a pop, pushing the shares up to 4.1p. Hills now owns 2.03mln shares, equivalent to 0.55% of the issued share capital of TyraTech.

FALLERS

Gulf Keystone Petroleum Ltd (LON:GKP), down 20%. The cash-strapped oil producer said it needs to raise US$71mln to maintain out from the Shaikan field in Kurdistan.

Ascent Resources PLC (LON:AST), down 11%. The shares fell to 1.28p after the company issued 61.1mln shares as a result of a conversion of loan notes into equity.

Sierra Rutile Limited (LON:SRX), down 7.4%. The company has raised $20mln placing shares at 20p a pop. The shares eased 1.75p to 22p.

RISERS

Weatherly International PLC (LON:WTI), up 65%. CEO Craig Thomas called the production update “satisfying”; the market was considerably more effusive, as production costs remain well below company guidance at the Tschudi asset in Namibia.

Connemara Mining Company PLC (LON:CON), up 24%. The silver, lead, zinc assay results from the short hole drilling programme conducted earlier this year at Inishowen cheered the market.

Eland Oil & Gas PLC (LON:ELA), up 21%. The company expects to complete flow testing of the Opuama-3 well in Nigeria over the coming weeks, following a work-over.

FALLERS

RusPetro PLC (LON:RPO), down 93%. The shares plummeted as the company announced plans to go private barely more than four years after it came to the market.

Mothercare PLC (LON:MTC), down 15%. For some time the overseas business has been the main glimmer of hope for the struggling retailer of mother & baby products, but the shares dived this morning as it said sales in its international operations saw a 10.8% year-on-year fall in the 11 weeks to 26 March.

Burberry Group PLC (LON:BRBY), down 7.7%. Another retailer reporting overseas struggles; the fashion firm said sales to travelling luxury customers in continental Europe have slowed.
