Ariana Resources plc (LON:AAU) new gold mine at Kiziltepe in Turkey remains on track to be commissioned in the second half of this year, said managing director Kerim Sener today.
Turkish partner Proccea is in charge of the building and has all but completed the installation of the crushing and screening circuit and is now preparing for the installation of the ball-mill, he said.
Foundations for the processing plant have also largely been laid and structural steelwork will commence shortly.
“The project remains on schedule for commissioning during H2 2016," said Sener.
Kiziltepe is expected to produce around 20,000 ounces of gold per year.
