Proactive news summary: Aminex PLC, CloudTag PLC, Metal Tiger PLC, Westminster Group PLC and more

Metal Tiger shares continue to rise, big news for Aminex and Westminster's ferry hits another snag.

Shares in resource investor Metal Tiger PLC (LON:MTR) continued their recent ascent as its joint venture partner in Botswana, MOD Resources, suspended its shares ahead of assay results on Friday. Excitement over the Botswana copper project has propelled Metal Tiger higher recently. Metal Tiger also announced it had bought a stake in Greatland Gold. It was poised to buy 150 million shares in Australia- focused Greatland, shooting up share price by more than 50%.

Elsewhere in mining, Premier African Minerals Ltd (LON:PREM) revealed it was on the brink of profitable underground operations at its RHA tungsten mine in Zimbabwe.

The miner expects positive operational cash flow from the site, before capital expenditure and working capital, when first ore from the 870 level is processed and crushing circuit upgrades are installed.

In other news, personal health monitoring group CloudTag Inc (LON:CTAG) has brought in a further £60,000 in another premium share issue.

Meanwhile, Keywords Studios (LON:KWS) will take up full ownership of Kite Team, currently 50% owned, ahead of the previously envisaged schedule. It is 20 months sooner than set out in the terms of its deal with Kite Team, agreed last July.

Over in oil, Petroceltic International PLC (LON:PCI) has now recommended that shareholders accept the 3p per share offer from activist major shareholder Worldview Capital.

The oil and gas firm previously dismissed the offer which values the group at £6.4mln. However, Petroceltic now faces an examinership hearing in the High Court of Ireland on Friday.

At Aminex PLC (LON:AEX) it produced the first gas from its Kiliwani North gas field in Tanzania.

Jay Bhattacherjee, chief executive, said it was a significant moment for the company and marked its transition from a developer to producer in Africa.

Aminex has a 55.75% working interest in the field in Tanzania though this will reduce to 51.75% following a recent stake sale to partner Solo Oil (LON:SOLO).

In biotech, drug discovery and development company Summit Therapeutics PLC (LON:SUMM, NASDAQ:SMMT) announced today that chief executive Glyn Edwards will present at the Annual Healthcare Conference in New York on 13 April.

Elsewhere, workforce management software specialist ServicePower Technologies PLC (LON:SVR) said trading for 2016 was in line with its expectations as it continues to grow client numbers and migrate its products onto the cloud.

Revenue for the year to end December was up 2% to £13mln, slightly down on analyst estimates.

Over at Cluff Natural Resources PLC (LON:CLNR), it raised £727,000 through a placing of new shares. The group, which is focussed on North Sea projects, said the injection of capital will fund the company through to the end of 2016.

And finally, Westminster Group PLC (LON:WSG) said its flagship ferry, the Sierra Queen, had sustained some minor damage from an uncharted submerged obstacle while moving between terminals.
