Mawson Resources (TSE:MAW) director Gil Leathley stepped down on Monday to focus on personal matters, the company said.
Leathley departs with immediate effect. He has been a non-executive director and a member of the company's audit committee since December, 2007. Gilbert Clark, an independent director of the company, will replace Leathley as a member of the audit committee.
Leathley will remain on the company's advisory board to advise the company on technical matters.
"On behalf of the board and management of the company, I believe I speak for many in passing on a huge vote of thanks to Gil for his long-term guidance, dedication and wise contributions at the board level," said Michael Hudson, president and chief executive officer.
"I remain thankful Gil will continue to provide guidance to me and the company via the company's advisory board," he added.
