Keywords Studios PLC (LON:KWS) is to buy Beijing based Mindwalk for US$5.5mln in a deal expected to be earnings enhancing during 2016. It represents the first significant move into the fast growing Chinese market and enlarges the scale of its art creation services.
Resource investor Metal Tiger plc (LON:MTR) has brought in further cash from warrant conversions, it said today. The latest batch sees around 3.5mln shares issued and £60,400 raised, making the total brought in since March 16 this year, £635,899. Following an announcement at 2PM from CEO Paul Johnson, shares shot up 2.5%.
In other news, Cadogan Petroleum PLC's proposed takeover of Ascent Resources Plc (LON:AST) collapsed because the former decided a deal would no longer be worth it. Ascent's AIM quoted shares rose 658% since it was announced that Cadogan had made an approach, and was in early stage talks to buy the European ‘tight’ gas junior.
Elsewhere, Scancell Holdings PLC (LON:SCLP) successfully raised £6.1mln via a placing and open offer of shares with new and existing investors. The cash will be used to accelerate the development of its cancer-fighting immunotherapies.
Over at Anglo Pacific Group PLC (LON:APF), it increased its royalty exposure to the high grade anthracite Groundhog project in Canada and settled the outstanding amount owed it from Australian owner Atrum Coal, it said.
The promissory note was issued to Atrum as part of the sale in 2014 of Anglo's coal licences.
Meanwhile, digital music firm 7digital Group PLC (LON:7DIG) continued to turn heads as it emerged global investor Henderson now owns more than 5% of the stock. According to a regulatory filing on Friday, the institutional investor now owns almost 6%of voting rights.
Over at corporate video production company Ten Alps PLC (LON:TAL), it announced the acquisition of Straker Films Limited. The acquisition is the second by the group - trading as Zinc Media - as it looks to become a major player in the corporate story-telling market.
Shares in Rare Earth Minerals were wanted Friday on the back of news from Macarthur Minerals, in which it has a 15.5% stake. Macarthur Minerals has made an application for an additional exploration licence in the Eastern Pilbara region of Western Australia.
Payments and money transfer specialist Midpoint Holdings Ltd (CVE:MPT) has raised $480,760 from the first tranche of the previously announced private placing.
Midpoint has created an online marketplace that, for a fee, matches buyers and sellers of foreign currency at the midpoint of the relevant currency pair interbank rate.
And finally, precious metals miner Mandalay Resources Corp (TSE:MND) is set to more fully reap the financial rewards from production at it silver and gold Cerro Bayo mine in Chile.
It has bought back the 2% net smelter royalty interest, which had been enjoyed by a subsidiary of Coeur Mining Inc since 2010, when the two struck a sale and purchase agreement on the mine.
