Burger behemoth McDonald's Corp (NYSE:MCD) saw shares nudge 0.61% higher on the day as it revealed it wants to open more Asian stores.
The fast food firm plans to open 1,500 new restaurants in China, South Korea and Hong Kong and is looking for partners to help with finance.
The chain is looking to fast growing markets in a bid to turnaround fortunes.
The new chief is former employee Steve Easterbrook, who is trying to reform McDonalds.
The total number of diners at its outlets around the world fell last year.
Easterbrook said: "Asia represents a significant area of opportunity for McDonald's to blend our global quality standards with local insights and expertise from partners who share our vision and values.
"This will allow McDonald's to accelerate our growth and scale faster across diverse markets placing us closer to our customers and the communities we serve. We're in the midst of transforming our business and taking a strategic and thoughtful approach to enhance our ability to grow around the world. These actions build on our turnaround efforts and will advance local ownership, enable faster decision-making and achieve restaurant growth."
