Ore mining for a bulk sample has started under the Grants Patch tribute deal in Western Australia, said AIM firm Keras Resources PLC (LON:KRS).
It's at the Anomaly 22 deposit, which is located in the Grants Patch Gold Tribute lease area and lies 30km north of Kalgoorlie.
The extracted gold ore will initially be stockpiled before being trucked to the Paddington Mill early next week, the firm said.
Managing director of Keras Dave Reeves said: "The commencement of extraction at Grants Patch, ahead of schedule in the first quarter of 2016, is a significant milestone for Keras.
"This, combined with the signing of the two additional tributes, sets the company up as a cash flow generative gold miner with an exciting future."
