In the news today, W Resources PLC (LON:WRES) raised a further £100,000 by issuing 22mln shares at 0.45p after additional demand for the tungsten miner's shares.
The additional placing comes after it raised £750,000 - also at 0.45p – last week to fund the mine and plant engineering at La Parrilla and Régua, resource estimation at São Martinho and general working capital.
Horizonte Minerals PLC's (LON:HZM) deal last year with titan Glencore (LON:GLEN) to buy the adjacent nickel project to Araguaia was a 'game changer', said boss Jeremy Martin in final results today.
The focus in the first half of 2016 will be to integrate the two sites. Pre-tax loss was around £1.6mln against a loss of £1.2mln in 2014.
In other news, Accesso Technology group PLC (LON:ACSO), a ticketing service provider, has increased its banking facility with Lloyds (LON:LLOY) to US$25mln and has a further US$10mln for potential merger and acquisition investments.
It gives the tech group more financial headroom and replaces the previous US$22mln facility, which was due to be reduced to US$8mln in November this year.
Elsewhere, Green Dragon Gas (LON:GDG) reported China had increased the cash subsidy paid on gas produced from coal assets by 50%.
The subsidy has risen to US $1.31/Mcf from US$0.87/Mcf and is effective from the start of 2016.
Meanwhile, Aminex plc (LON:AEX) and Solo Oil plc (LON:SOLO) told investors that first gas production from the Kiliwani North gas project, in Tanzania, is now expected in early April.
Final well integrity testing has been completed for the Kiliwani North-1 production well.
Over at Instem Plc (LON:INS), the clinical trial management software provider, it extended its relationship with two existing clients to land new contracts worth US$800,000.
The new deals were for its submit product, which complies with the US Food & Drug Administration’s Standard for Exchange of Non-clinical Data initiative.
Stem cell specialist ReNeuron Group PLC (LON:RENE) has treated its first patient in a phaseI/II US trial of its retinitis pigmentosa cell therapy remedy.
The procedure, involving a single injection of Human Retinal Progenitor Cells under the retina, was conducted at Massachusetts Eye and Ear in Boston, an affiliate of Harvard Medical School. The patient was discharged from hospital the same day.
Shares in UK potash mine developer Sirius Minerals (LON:SXX, OTCQX:SRUXY) shot up over 16% in early deals as it said its hotly anticipated definitive feasibility study for its Yorkshire project will be issued this Thursday.
