CUI Global picks up another order from National Grid

It is also a first order for the IRIS-LITE unit, for smaller substations and above ground installations.

CUI Global Inc’s (NASDAQ:CUI) UK arm Orbital Gas Systems has picked up another order from the National Grid (LON:NG.) for its remote monitoring system IRIS.

The order, worth approximately US$1mln, is for the design, construction, delivery and commissioning of ten additional IRIS-RTU systems.

It is also a first order for the IRIS-LITE unit, for smaller substations and above ground installations.

"This order represents an exciting and continuing opportunity for us to partner with National Grid and its telemetry upgrade project and allows us to further develop the reputation of our IRIS-RTU systems," said Robert Law, Orbital's UK managing director.

William Clough, CUI Global’s chief executive, added: "Our continuing partnership with National Grid and our IRIS product clearly demonstrates the dynamic nature of this technology and provides further evidence of our ability to provide unique, leading-edge solutions to the natural gas industry."
