Risers & Fallers: GW Pharmaceuticals, Union Jack PLC, Metal Tiger PLC and Egdon Resources

Collectibles trader Stanley Gibbons has had to issue shares at a deep, deep discount to raise funds. MX Oil's discounted share issue looks like a good result for the company in comparison.

Below are some of the main news-driven share price changes at 16.00pm.

RISERS

GW Pharmaceuticals (LON:GWP) up 123% to 476.75p. The share price rocketed on the back of promising phase-three trial results for cannabis-based epilepsy drug.

Metal Tiger plc (LON:MTR) up 46% to 2.05p. The group's new investing policy and the subsequent acquisition of a 28% holding in ZimNRG have renewed investor confidence.

Yolo Leisure (LON:YOLO) up 9.8% to 1.4p. Up following major investee partnership with sport distribution company.

FALLERS

Nostra Terra PLC (LON:NTOG) down 8% to 0.09. Resignation of its nominated adviser, Sanlam Securities. Suspended from trading on AIM from tomorrow unless it finds a new nomad.

Egdon Resources PLC (LON:EDR) down 12.3% to 8.00. Completion of drilling at Laughton-1 well. Silkstone Rock primary was poorly developed. Well will now be plugged.

Union Jack Oil PLC (LON:UJO) down 20% to 0.14. Completing of drilling at Laughton-1 well also. Hydrocarbon saturations are not sufficient enough to warrant further testing.

Below are some of the main news-driven share price changes at 9.30am.

RISERS

The Kellan Group plc (LON:KLN), up 22.0%. Recruitment firm Kellan shot up on the back of full-year results, which showed an acceleration in net fee income in the second half of the year.

LGO Energy PLC (LON:LGO), up 12%. The Trinidad-focused oil producer, which last week said it was no longer up for sale, said it is planning to increase investment in its Goudron field in view of the general stabilisation in the oil price.

Keras Resources PLC (LON:KRS), up 12%. Keras Resources has struck a third gold tribute agreement in Western Australia to bring its potential resource inventory to over 500,000 ounces and advance its aim of becoming a miner with positive cash flow.

LOSERS

Trinity Exploration & Production PLC (LON:TRIN), down 43%. The shares fell out of bed after the Trinidad & Tobago-focused exploration and production company after it revealed the previously announced disposal of various licences and assets to Touchstone Exploration had fallen through. The cash-strapped firm is exploring strategic alternatives, one of which appears to be a sale of all or part of the company.

MX Oil PLC (LON:MXO), down 27%. The shares have been marked down to 0.83p after the oil and gas investing company raised £2.5mln by issuing shares at 0.75p each.

Stanley Gibbons Group PLC (LON:SGI), down 9.8%. The collectibles specialist's long-awaited fund-raising has been unveiled; it is to issue shares at 10p a pop to raise £13mln. The shares fell 2.25p to 20.75p.
