Metal Tiger plc (LON:MTR) chairman Terry Grammer exercised options over £50,000 worth of shares in the AIM listed resources investor at a premium of 33% to the closing share price on Tuesday. Following the transaction, Grammer will hold a stake of roughly 7.5%.
Over at Horse Hill, UK Oil & Gas (LON:UKOG) said that HH1 has now produced at a combined average stable rate of over 1,528 bopd from the two Kimmeridge and Upper Portland zones.
Solo Oil (LON:SOLO) , one of the Horse Hill consortium members, also commented on the excellent results from all levels having previously tested at rates up to 900 barrels oil per day from Kimmeridge limestones.
Sticking with oil, Trinidad-focused LGO Energy PLC (LON:LGO) has ended the formal sale process announced last year as it believes other strategic refinancing opportunities would be better for the oil firm.
Meanwhile, asphalt and ready-mixed concrete producer Breedon Aggregates Ltd (LON:BREE) reported record pre-tax profits in the year to December 31. They rose 46% and revenue increased by 18%.
The group issued an encouraging outlook but voiced caution about the EU referendum.
In other news, Abzena (LON:ABZA) said both its recent US acquisitions have bedded down well.
The drug developer and pharma services group acquired PacificGMP, a contract manufacturing business, in September and contract chemist TCRS in December.
Over at Noricum Gold (LON:NMG), it has stepped up the pace to get its Kvemo Bolnisi deposit in Georgia into production this year.
A second drill rig has been brought on site with the current programme now expected to be completed by the end of the month.
Elsewhere, ANGLE PLC (LON:AGL), has been granted a European patent for its Parsortix liquid biopsy system.
The new patent provides protection over a wide range of uses of the Parsortix technology and extends the duration of patent coverage out to 2034.
Aggregated Micro Power Holdings PLC (LON:AMPH) is to acquire Forest Fuels, one of the UK’s largest woodchip suppliers.
Richard Burrell, Aggregated Micro’s chief executive, said the deal will give it a foothold in a fast expanding sector.
Regenerative medtech Tissue Regenix (LON:TRX) has been granted US regulatory clearance for SurgiPure XD, a skin graft for hernias derived from pig tissue.
It is the first time an implant using Tissue’s cell washing technology has been approved by the US Food and Drug Administration.
ATTRAQT Group plc (LON:ATQT) boss Andre Brown said annual results from the e-commerce, search and visual merchandising specialist revealed “strong operational and financial progress”.
Revenue growth of 40% to £2.91mln underlined this point, while November’s successful £3mln fundraise will usher the business through the next expansion phase.
And finally, shares in precious metals firm Stratex International PLC (LON:STI) nudged higher as it said it continued to seek growth through acquisitions and narrowed its loss in the year gone.
The constrained junior mining sector played into the hands of firms like Stratex, said chairman Christopher Hall.
