Touchstone Exploration Inc (TSE:TXP) said an independent year-end evaluation showed the company is defining new reserves in Trinidad faster than it can extract them.
The Toronto-listed explorer and producer is currently active in onshore properties located in the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago, but also has some undeveloped assets in Canada.
In 2015, Total proved plus probable reserves in Trinidad increased by 679 Mbbls (millions of barrels) or 4.6% after production to 15,465 Mbbls, all of which was oil.
Annual production from the Trinidad operations Totalled 573.2mln barrels, equivalent to 1,570 barrels per day, while sales averaged 1,600 per day during the 2015 fiscal year.
The company replaced 219% of 2015's production from Trinidad, with 1,252mln barrels of proved plus probable reserve additions.
Total Trinidad prove reserves represented 57% of the company's consolidated Total proved plus probable reserves.
The company said the Total consolidated proved plus probable net present value of future net revenues after tax (using a 10% discount rate) was C$124.8 million, which excluding net debt, equates to C$1.50 per basic share ($67.4 million or $0.81 per basic share on a Total proved basis).
